Site Services

With their backgrounds in both design and construction, SDK’s team of site engineers has extensive experience in the field. On-hand to provide technical support throughout the construction process, our team ensures that the work complies fully with our plans and specifications, liaising directly with clients to keep deadlines and payment requests on track, and to handle any changes and document adjustments required by the site.

Our site engineers work closely with the project design team. They have direct access to plans and documents and pass on instructions and information in real time via the Building Information Modeling (BIM) system.

Building Information Modeling (BIM)

BIM provides a model of a structure that includes all the technical information necessary for its construction, maintenance, repair, modification or expansion. This model is shared between the various stakeholders of the project (architects, engineers, clients) and if necessary, with the builder and the building operator. For many years now, the technical team at SDK has been producing 100% of its structural drawings with BIM technology. Our site services team also incorporates BIM into the construction process.

Structural Studies

The SDK team conducts structural and technical studies for existing and upcoming constructions.

The team of engineers at SDK collaborates with clients and other professionnals involved in the project on the development of functional and technical programs. This allows our engineers to identify the key structural issues at play and to set out the project’s objectives according to the client’s requirements, as well as to draw up budgets and schedules for execution.

Our team has proven expertise in seismic rehabilitation and the renovation of existing infrastructures. We carry out existing condition surveys so that we can formulate recommendations to improve the condition of buildings or slow down their deterioration.
